Welcome to Hakiki Foundation

The Swahili acronym HAKIKI stands for "Hamasisha Kizazi Kipya," which translates to "Inspire Young Generation." The Foundation is currently leading two projects: HAKIKI for Kids, which supports kids to complete their primary education, and Period Pride Project, which provides eco-friendly sanitary products to girls.

Impure Movie - A story that needs telling

I had an incredible conversation with the Filmmaker/Writer/Director, Mr. Rico Herre. I am grateful for his grace and willingness to learn and lend a voice to this and many other Menstrual-related issues that still affect many girls around the globe. I'm super passionate about this topic and we will continue to highlight this project and many more like this on Inspire Y.G. and on this website. Kindly watch the entire video on Youtube and leave a comment with your thoughts. Also, please follow Impure.film.official on Instagram to get notified when you can watch the movie at a spot near you🙌🏾

Period Talk | Tampon tax, Period pain!

In this video, I explore several important topics, including:  - Insights about the tampon tax - Countries that have chosen not to tax sanitary products - My personal experiences and challenges with hormonal imbalances  While the video is a bit lengthy, I encourage you to watch it in its entirety, especially if you have a young girl under your care. The information shared may provide reassurance and support, reminding every girl that she is not alone in her journey. It aims to inspire and empower them as they transition from childhood to womanhood.  Menstruation is a natural and significant part of life, deserving of pride rather than shame. I also invite you to consider supporting organizations and individuals who advocate for this cause on a global scale. Your involvement can play a vital role in ensuring that girls have the opportunity to remain in school and flourish in their future endeavors.
